Project
Inspired by Japanese lacquer bowls, this lampshade design began with a small size, envisioning a lacquer bowl hanging upside down. As the project evolved, we added larger versions. We refined the light diffuser, creating a concave surface hidden within the shade, which disperses light nearly 180 degrees.
Participation
For this project, I had the opportunity to assist Keiji Takeuchi throughout the whole design process, from the initial studies to collaborating with the NINE light engineer on the 3D development.
